Implementation Consultant – Enterprise SaaS / Client Implementation – Remote, USA (Eastern / Central Time)
Are you the kind of Implementation Consultant who’d rather be the person making sure a go-live actually lands, not just sit in on the kickoff call and hope for the best?
We’re working with an established, fast-growing software business who have expanded into the US and are looking for their first US hire. As this is their first US-based hire on the implementation side, you’d be the one setting the tone for how the role works over there.
This is a fully remote role, based anywhere in the Eastern or Central time zones. You’ll need to be close to a major airport hub, as the role involves regular client travel, and the time zone keeps a workable overlap with the UK team. Atlanta, GA is a strong fit, but other East Coast and Central locations are equally welcome. Unfortunately, we can’t consider West Coast candidates because of the time difference.
The deal’s already done by the time you get involved – you’re the one who turns it into a working, live implementation. That means owning scoping, configuration, training, ongoing support and the client relationship, with success measured pretty simply: did the implementation go well or didn’t it.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning successful delivery of client implementations from kickoff through to go-live
- Running post-sales scoping sessions before configuring the platform to match what’s been sold
- Managing a small number of complex projects at once (typically three to four), with timelines ranging from a few months to two years and averaging six to eight months
- Running each project largely on your own steam: part project manager, part trainer, part configuration specialist
- Travelling to client sites at least a couple of times a month for scoping and implementation work. Current clients are spread across Texas, Florida, South Carolina and New Jersey, with more being added
- Providing ongoing software support to clients post-go-live
- Staying close enough to the account after go-live that renewals and customer success stay on track
This is a varied role: project manager, configuration specialist, trainer, support and client-facing consultant all in one, depending on the day.
What they’re looking for:
- Experience as an Implementation Consultant, Solutions Consultant or similar customer-facing delivery role for a software/technology business
- A background in a complex, configuration-heavy software environment. Experience where the software has real-world operational consequences is a big plus, for example logistics, distribution, warehousing, supply chain or procurement, where a configuration change affects physical goods or people on the ground, not just data on a screen
- Strong ERP experience is also a close fit if you haven’t worked in this exact space
- Comfort owning a full implementation rather than handing pieces off to other teams
- Confidence managing client expectations and the ability to push back diplomatically when needed
- Willingness to travel domestically as a normal part of the role
